Helping People Make Confident Real Estate Decisions for More Than 30 Years
Buying or selling a home is one of the largest financial decisions most people will ever make. My role has never been simply to help people buy or sell real estate—it's to help them understand their options, make informed decisions, and move forward with confidence.
Welcome
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me.
If you've arrived here, you're probably considering buying a home, selling a property, investing in real estate, relocating to Metro Detroit, or perhaps looking for someone with the experience to help guide one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make.
I appreciate that opportunity because I believe choosing the right REALTOR® isn't about finding someone who can unlock a door or fill out paperwork. It's about finding someone you trust to educate you, protect your interests, negotiate on your behalf, and guide you through every step of the process.
I've Never Thought of Real Estate as a Sales Job
People often ask me what I do for a living.
The simple answer is that I'm a REALTOR® and Managing Broker.
The honest answer is that I've never considered my career to be a sales profession.
From the very beginning, I've believed my responsibility is to educate people—not pressure them.
My goal has always been to make sure every client understands the choices in front of them so they can confidently make the decision that is best for their family, their finances, and their future.
What That Means for My Clients
When we work together, my job is not to tell you what to do.
My job is to make sure you understand:
- Every option available to you.
- The advantages and disadvantages of each option.
- The financial impact of your decisions.
- The legal obligations contained within your contracts.
- The risks you should understand before moving forward.
- How negotiations typically unfold.
- What to expect throughout the transaction so there are very few surprises.
Knowledge creates confidence.
Confident clients make better decisions.
That's the philosophy I've built my career around.
Helping People Understand the Process
Most people buy or sell only a handful of homes during their lifetime.
I work with real estate every day.
Because of that, it's easy for professionals to forget just how unfamiliar the process can feel to someone experiencing it for the first time—or even the fifth time.
Contracts contain legal language. Market conditions change. Negotiations become emotional. Inspections uncover unexpected issues. Appraisals don't always come in where buyers or sellers expect. Lenders request additional documentation. Closing dates sometimes move.
None of those situations are unusual.
What creates stress isn't the event itself—it's not understanding why it's happening or what comes next.
That's where experience matters.
One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been helping clients replace uncertainty with understanding. When people know what to expect, they make stronger decisions, negotiate with greater confidence, and enjoy the process far more than they imagined possible.
Experience Built on Education
Over the past three decades, I've had the privilege of serving hundreds of families throughout Metro Detroit while personally closing more than $75 million in residential real estate sales.
Along the way, I've earned 25 advanced professional real estate designations, become the Managing Broker for six RE/MAX Classic offices, mentored more than 120 real estate professionals, taught countless educational classes, and served my community as the Chairperson of the Canton Township Downtown Development Authority.
One of the most important skills I bring to a transaction is negotiation. From evaluating competing offers to working through inspections, appraisals, contingencies and contract terms, my approach focuses on protecting the client's objectives while evaluating both value and risk. Those accomplishments are milestones I'm proud of, but they aren't the reason I love what I do.
The greatest satisfaction comes from seeing someone walk away from the closing table knowing they understood the process, made informed decisions, and felt supported every step of the way.
Let Me Put My PHD to Work for You!
People often smile when they hear my slogan.
Let Me Put My PHD to Work for You!
No, I don't have a doctorate in real estate.
To me, PHD stands for Professional Housing Degree.
It's a philosophy built through more than 30 years of experience, over $75 million in personal sales volume, 25 advanced professional designations, hundreds of families served, and a lifelong commitment to continuing education.
Every class I've attended, every designation I've earned, every market I've studied, every negotiation I've conducted, and every client I've represented has strengthened my ability to provide thoughtful guidance and trusted advice.
Because when you understand more, you make better real estate decisions.
